Chemical Film

Chemical Film, also referred to as Alodine or iridite, is a chromate conversion coating that is applied only to the surface of aluminum. It gives good corrosion protection as well as providing a excellent base for painting. The color can vary from colorless (when specified) to golden - iridescent - brown.   Our materials conform to MIL-C-81706.  The coating should be continuous, free from powdery areas, breaks, scratches, etc.
